Taking the ferry or Eurotunnel

Find the best crossing to France with our discounts

Self-Drive to our French campsites

That fabulous holiday feeling starts right onboard the ferry! While on your crossing to France, your young kids have plenty of opportunities for adventure at play areas, cinemas and children’s clubs.  Teens can also keep themselves happily occupied at the arcade, cinemas, or do their own thing with wi-fi internet access available (activities may vary depending on the ship). Fun and comfort on holiday definitely starts on your ferry trip.

Take the ferry

We think the perfect way of travelling to your Siblu campsite is by taking the ferry. You can load up the car with all the bits and pieces you need for your self-catering holiday, without the worry of weight restrictions and baggage sizes.

When taking the ferry to France, you have a couple of different options. You can take one of the short crossings to the north east of France. These are typically cheaper, but will leave you a longer drive to the west coast. Alternatively you can take a longer crossing to ports including Caen, Cherbourg, St Malo or Roscoff which will often save you drive time when you arrive in France.

Taking your car on the Eurotunnel to France

If you’re looking to stay at one of our holiday villages in Normandy, the Loire Valley, Brittany, Vendée, or Charente-Maritime, it’s worth noting that the Eurotunnel is an efficient travel option to take. The Eurotunnel Shuttle allows you to bring your car inside a train carriage.

If you’d like to take your car through the Eurotunnel, departures are from Folkstone, which will take you to Calais in just 35 minutes. You can leave your car inside the shuttle carriage, and relax at the onboard shops and restaurants. There are up to 4 departures an hour, and one ticket covers 1 car and up to 9 passengers. The great thing about taking the Eurotunnel is that there are no luggage restrictions, with the following vehicles and add-ons accepted: cars, vans, campervans, minibuses, motorcycles, roofboxes, bike holders, trailers and caravans.
