The course in detail:
Travel to the port town of Concarneau where you will meet with your guide for the day. The first stop is the nearbly fish auction, where the daily catch is bought each day before being sold on to restaurants and supermarkets. You'll watch the fish being sorted, filleted and packed and be shown what it's like to take part in the auction.
Afterwards, you will tour a traditional sea trawler and experience the cramped conditions of the crew, who spend as many as 15 days at a time out at sea. After enjoying a traditional French launch at the nearby restaurant La Coquille, the chef will show you how to prepare the perfect fish soup before dishing up your own serving to take away.
