free redundancy cover terms and conditions 2010
If a customer has purchased the full siblu travel insurance then the following applies:
- the policy already covers cancellation as a result of redundancy and therefore money would be refunded to the customer in line with this. Siblu would also refund the cost of the insurance premium.
- If a customer has not purchased siblu travel insurance:
In the event of redundancy, siblu will refund all funds paid, up to a limit of £5000, towards the holiday cost in line with the following conditions:
1. the customer must provide written proof of redundancy from the employer, government agency or other verifiable source.
2. the redundancy cover applies to anyone travelling within the booked party, i.e. the name on the written proof must match one of the names on the booking.
3. the definition of redundancy is as per the siblu insurance policy, i.e. “redundancy means being an employee where you qualify under the provision of the Employment Rights Act 1996, and who, at the date of termination of employment by reason of redundancy, has been continuously employed for a period of two years or longer and is not on a short-term fixed contract”.
4. if notice is given within 30 days of departure, it will be necessary for siblu to pass on any 3rd party cancellation charges i.e. transport costs or event tickets.
5. this offer is not applicable to Tesco or any other holiday paid either in full or in part with vouchers.
6. this offer is not applicable if the customer has purchased travel insurance from another provider and is entitled to a refund of their holiday cost under that scheme.
