ONLYDADS.ORG FOUNDER REVEALS HOLIDAY HASSLES FOR SINGLE PARENTS
Single parents can face a logistical nightmare when travelling with children, so holiday parc specialist siblu (www.siblu.com) has introduced a range of make-travel-easy extras for Whitsun and summer breaks, starting with a £100 single savers discount.
Common holiday problems identified by OnlyDads.org founder Bob Greig include coping with mountains of luggage, taking time out to relax, and safety.
He says: “Single parents can face some really simple challenges when away, often linked to not having an extra pair of hands or eyes. Carrying equipment can be harder and there’s less chance of being able to hand responsibility to someone else so you can switch off and relax.”
To reduce the travel load, siblu action packs are available from as little as £2 per night and include children’s tennis rackets, bats and balls, boules, Frisbees and badminton equipment.
Travel essentials including linen, towels and baby cots can be pre-booked from as little as 50 pence per night, to keep suitcases as light as possible.
Children can join free kid’s clubs, such as PAWS for toddlers and T-Co for teens. Professional soccer coaching can be booked for just £30 for a five-day course.
Siblu’s single saver discount keeps the price low for adults travelling on their own. A seven-night stay at La Pignade, on the Charente Maritime coast, starts from just £835 for a seven-night holiday, including £100 single saver discount. The price is based on a 15 July departure for one adult and two children and covers Dover-Calais ferry travel.
