SIBLU OPENS FIRST HOLIDAY PARC IN NORMANDY

Summer prices start from £760 per family

Holiday-parc specialist siblu (www.siblu.com) today launches Domaine de Litteau, the company’s first parc in the rural retreat of Calvados, in Normandy.

The trim two-star site is nestled on the edge of Cerisy Forest close to the picturesque town of Bayeux. The parc gently slopes away giving all visitors views of the surrounding countryside.

Calvados is the milk-cart capital of France – a beautiful, rural region, famous for its milk, cream and cheeses, apple orchards and hidden fishing ports, such as Port-en-Bessin, with its charming fish market.

The countryside around Domaine de Litteau is captivating, with empty prairies, cool wooded valleys and the Cerisy Forest, a favourite spot for explorers. The nearby town of Bayeux, with its famous Tapestry, the stunning Mont St Michel and the picturesque countryside of ‘Suisse Normande’ along the Gorges of the River Orne are more must sees.

Accommodation at Domaine de Litteau ranges from traditional Deluxe Tents – two-bedroom affairs on concrete bases – to French chalets and large mobile homes. Touring visitors can soak in the atmosphere too: there are numerous pitches.

Prices start from as little as £760 for two adults and up to three children staying in mobile accommodation with a sun terrace, including return Dover-Calais ferry travel. For information visit www.siblu.com or call 0870 242 7777.

Valerie Gateau, siblu holidays sales and marketing director says: “Domaine de Litteau is a launch pad for so many great family adventures in Normandy.”

Over 110,000 people stayed at a siblu parc in France, Spain or Italy in 2006. With the acquisition of Domaine de Litteau, siblu has bought three new holiday parcs in 2007 – Les Pierres Couchées in Loire Atlantique and Domaine De Dugny in Loire Valley.
