Holiday parks in France with splashzones
When you’re on holiday with the family, everyone wants to have fun in the water – even the tiniest members in the group. So what better than a splashzone, where even non-swimmers can get as splashtastic as they like in a safe environment? The water’s shallow so you don’t even need armbands in our splashzones – just the courage to brave the sprays, spinners, streams and super slides!
Adults will have as much fun as the kids in our splashy play areas – as long as they’re happy to get wet. They’re a great way to help toddlers get used to the water so they enjoy their swimming lessons later. And the bigger kids will love daring each other to stand under the water buckets…
Water fun at Le Domaine de Kerlann in Brittany
When your campsite has indoor and outdoor pools (with plenty of attentive and friendly lifeguards) for the older members of the family, it’s only fair that the youngest get their chance to splash about too. Le Domaine de Kerlann campsite in Brittany has a wonderfully big splashzone that will have toddlers screaming with delight – and itching to get their water wings to join in with the big kids when you come back next year…
The peaceful Domaine de Litteau caravan village on the edge of the Cerisy forest in Normandy also has a splashzone – where there are animals spraying water out of their nostrils! When the kids are hot and bothered after exhausting the possibilities of the huge outdoor play area, it’s the perfect place to cool down.
New aquasplash zone at Les Charmettes in Charente Maritime
One of our biggest holiday villages, Les Charmettes in Charente Maritime has revamped its huge indoor and outdoor pool complex, which includes five pools, waterslides and fountains. It now features a new aquasplash zone so toddlers can join in the splashing fun! It’s a great alternative to the beach if the waves are a little too big for safe paddling.
Family-friendly pool play at Les Sables du Midi in Languedoc
Les Sables du Midi campsite in Languedoc added new water slides and an aquasplash zone in 2014. It also has 37-metre long flume with 17 metres of covered tunnel – with a separate two-flume multi-slide that’s perfect for little ones to race down. With almost guaranteed sunshine this far south, you’ll have no problem keeping the kids (and yourself) cool with so much water-based activity to choose from.
But that’s not all – at the foot of the new slides is a splashzone with fountains, flowers and buckets spraying and squirting water. See if you can resist joining in when the toddlers are having the time of their lives!
