Camping Holidays on the Côte d’Azur

Le Montourey, Fréjus

5km from the town of Fréjus, Le Montourey

is perfect for making the most of the

French Riviera without the crowds.

racer slides and a helter skelter at le montourey

Nowhere is more synonymous with holidays in France than Provence and the delightful Côte d’Azur region in its southeast corner, masterfully mixing seaside resort, hillside hamlet and chic city. And the Mediterranean climate and dazzling light have attracted and inspired the greatest artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. Opt for Siblu holiday park, Le Montourey and you’ll be inspired too! It’s situated in a tranquil spot close to the lovely town of Fréjus making it an ideal centre to discover the French Riviera high-life of Cannes, St Tropez and Nice, as well as local villages and fishing ports oozing authentic Provençal-regional charm.

Beaches & The Great Outdoors

Spectacular rocky headlands, golden sand and many Blue-Flag beaches: you’ll find it all on the Côte d'Azur. Ste-Maxime has white sandy beaches stretching along the turquoise seafront, and kids may be interested to know that it’s also the town of Babar the Elephant fame. A little further along the coast, St-Raphaël is equally charming with several beaches, and plenty of diving and snorkelling. Or seek out one of the many ‘secret’, sheltered coves dotted around when you fancy a break from the busier stretches of coast in the main urban hot spots. If you're looking for an interesting trek in beautiful surroundings, St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is a unique spot, with jutting rock formations and perfectly formed beaches. Just down the road you will find the La Plage Petite Afrique in Beaulieu sur Mer, which is fully-lifeguarded and has a protected swimming area for kids.

Things To Do & Special Events

Aqualand, Fréjus: it’s the largest waterpark in the region. Slides, wave pool and whirlpools make it perfect for cooling down while letting off steam! Then get some thrills and spills at fun-packed fun fair, Luna Park. Or why not visit the Nice aquarium?

Local Discoveries & Hidden Gems

Île Ste-Marguerite, a nature reserve with beautiful beaches and great picnic spots, is a glorious 15-minute boat ride from Cannes. You’ll truly feel away from it all. Grasse, France’s most fragrant town, is known as the World Capital of Perfume. Heavenly. The region is also well-served with the best of French produce and cuisine, from heady herbs and lip-smacking olives to specialties such as salade niçoise, daube provençal (hearty beef stew) and bouillabaisse (fishy soup), all best washed down with a cool Bandol rosé (for a local twist, on the hottest days sip rosé en piscine – rosé “on the rocks”).

Places To Go

Fréjus. Right next to Le Montourey campsite, it’s a bustling town combining Roman antiquity, a modern marina, long sandy beaches and a lively promenade. In St Tropez, much loved by artists, film stars and writers, mingle with the jet-set and marvel at luxury yachts (there’s plenty of people watching and window shopping too). Cannes has oodles of Hollywood glitz and glamour, thanks to the annual international Film Festival. So cruise down the famous Croisette or explore via Le Petit Train de Cinéma… And why not visit Nice for beaches with play areas, semi-tropical gardens, modern art museums (Parc Phoenix has a musical fountain!), modern art museums (Matisse! Chagall!) and its classy Promenade des Anglais. You must also make a detour to the Principality of Monaco: the world’s second smallest country and famed for the Monte-Carlo casino, Formula 1 and its royal family. Truly fascinating.
