Hi Adrian, the language classes should be booked in advance as places are limited. Unfortunately, you can't do this through our website at the moment, so you can either call the reservations team on 0871 911 7777 or send me an email to daniel.johnson@siblu.com with your holiday reference, and I can make the booking for you.
Best, Daniel

But which gives you most flexibility when you are there? I love travelling to Paris by train for business, but if I was travelling to the coast with family, I think I'd prefer the ease of a car. What do you think?

It's much easier and cheaper to take the train to be honest. That's what we always do when we go to France. With the Euro train, you don't have to worry about the weather conditions, and you can just go direct, which is great because I always get confused changing transport.

Hi Dan I personnally choose the Charente Maritime beaches between Royan and Ronce les Bains/La Tremblade which offers a multitude of different styles of beaches. There is the cote sauvage where the ocean rollers of several meters high at times stretch for miles and are backed by the dunes and pine forest. Followed by the Bonne Anse bay at La Palmyre which is fabulous for sailing, windsurfers and kite surfers alike. This continues to the big beach of the "grand cote" where you can do all of these things or just dip in to cool off after lazing on the beach with a spectacular view of the Courdouan light house. Then follows a quick succession of relatively protected bays through St.Palais sur mer, Vaux sur mer, Pontaillac and into Royan. You are just spoilt for choice here, and I haven't mentioned the island of oléron and its fab beaches. Although I would not recommend the island in the height of the summer, too busy to get across the bridge. I am biased though because I did live there for 6 years!

When I used to live in London, my weekends were so hectic & I always ended up doing my big shop on a Sunday afternoon, and come Sunday evening I was so depressed to know it was soon Monday... However, here in France, it's fantastic. Yes, it is frustrating if you're cooking a big meal on Sunday & realised you're out of a certain product/ingredient, but you get used to the shops being shut on a Sunday afternoon so get to them before noon on Sunday, and be organised. Now, Sundays are a blissful family day & we have quality time with each other. If I find I've run out of something I really need it Sunday evening, I just ask my great neighbours, who can normally help me out. Vive la France & vivre les dimanches tranquilles!

I respect and admire the work Brittany Ferries are doing on behalf of whales and dolphins. In a similar vein, I submit that public interest and concern for these magnificent beings can be heightened even more by blending scientific fact with speculative fiction, thereby taking the public beneath the waves into a world where they could not otherwise venture. Please visit my website www.rarclouston.com or read my blog http://whaleanddolphintalk.blogspot.com/

Thanks Alex, we certainly know what people love about the parc, so the improvements we make (the covered pool, the tennis courts etc) will be building on that, rather than changing it. Please keep coming back and let us know what you think.
